Impinj R700 RFID Reader Product Overview

The Impinj R700 RFID reader is a next generation fixed RFID reader. The product is available with a 4 antenna port configuration with support up to 32 antennas using an external multiplexor.

The Impinj R700 is built on top of the Impinj Speedway reader family; however, it boasts various new features for enterprise deployments. From a specifications perspective, the device supports up to maximum transmit power of 33 dBm. Compared the Impinj R420, that is a 0.5 dBm more out of the box.

In addition, the Impinj R700 features an increased received sensitivity of -92 dBm along with a higher end processor, increased RAM and larger partition for custom applications.

From a connectivity standpoint, the Impinj R700 includes support for 3 USB peripherals and also has the ability to support GPIO out of the box without the need for an external accessory. The solution also features support for both PoE and PoE+.

Lastly, from a software perspective, the Impinj R700 has support for RESTful APIs to quickly integrate into modern applications.
