The Sentry 2802 is an amazingly small footprint, mount on metal tag that provides extraordinary read range and low profile when mounted on long, thin metal objects like hand tools and instruments, metrology gear, weapon barrels, tubes and pipes and even small cable assemblies.

The tag is only 28mm (1.09”) long and less than 2mm (0.07”) wide, it delivers a 4 – 6 foot read distance depending on the item being tagged. Its low profile, only 1.5mm thick, means that its ergonomic impact on hand held items is minimal.   In addition the small size makes it very difficult to dislodge.   The tag is rugged and can take rough handling, is tolerant of temperatures up to 350° F, and can withstand severe vibration.

Standard on this tag is the ViziCore construction which provides added impact and temperature resistance for use in tough environments. And, like all Sentry products, the 2802 can easily be adapted for applications involving overmolding, overspraying, embedding in metal or composites or repetitive high temperature exposure, such as Autoclave service.
