RFID Tags with User Memory

RFID Tags with User Memory

EPC Gen 2 protocol provides for User Memory in Gen 2 tags, however, not all tags have User Memory.

The User Memory can be used for additional information about the product, especially in times, when the information is needed immediately after scanning and there is no connectivity to the back end database.

User Memory capacity is usually given by the tag IC (chip) and can range anywhere from 64 to 512 bits or more for passive tags and much more for active tags.
