Integrated RFID readers combine RFID reader with an RFID antenna into one unit. This is very convenient, since it usually means easier installation, space savings, elimination of unnecessary antenna cables and often better esthetics. Integrated readers can also be in form of gate readers, portals, overhead mounted devices or smart shelves.
Integrated RFID reader often use Power-Over-Ethernet (POE) to provide only one cable connection to the system.
